Anti-c Antibodies

Brookeanne became aware of her Anti-c status after going into preterm labor, at 32 weeks, with her 7th child. In her following pregnancy, she started researching heavily, discovered the Allo Hope Foundation, and delved into their resources to be able to advocate for proper care. While it was initially an uphill battle, her doctors started reading the materials and were quickly on board with treatment protocols.

Anti-c Antibodies

Brookeanne became aware of her Anti-c status after going into preterm labor, at 32 weeks, with her 7th child. She had previously received a positive result for Anti-c at 8 weeks pregnant, but was never informed by her doctor. At the 32 week point, her titers were considered critical and the doctors started watching closely to decide whether her baby needed to delivered. Thankfully, her baby boy had no complications, which was especially fortunate, since she was never encouraged or informed that any follow up care might be necessary. In her following pregnancy, she started researching heavily, discovered the Allo Hope Foundation, and delved into their resources to be able to advocate for proper care. While it was initially an uphill battle, her doctors started reading the materials and were quickly on board with treatment protocols. She is forever grateful for the changes that those resources contributed to her care, and is hopeful that those same resources can be easily accessible through simple browser searches, for each alloimmunized woman who needs them. When she is not homeschooling her 6 school age children, you can usually find her gardening, reading or swimming, and just enjoying her time with her family, and feeling incredibly thankful for each of them.
