Haley McDougal
Haley first learned of her antibodies when she was 13 weeks pregnant with her second baby boy. She had tested positive for Kell and Jkb, and the nurse had said “Do not worry, you have the antibodies, you don’t want the antigen!” Fast forward to 18 weeks at the first appointment with MFM; Grady already had fluid around his heart. Haley and her husband, Connor, were told to plan on coming back in 10 days for an emergent IUT in Boston. Unfortunately, Grady never made it 10 days and ended up being born sleeping. After that, Haley and Connor were told not to have more children, as it was not safe. Thankfully, Haley wouldn’t take that as an answer. By the grace of God, she was put in touch with Dr Moise, who had recommended a doctor in Boston for her to see. After speaking with Dr Moise and having a recommended doctor on their side, Haley and Connor got pregnant with their third baby. She is fierce and fiery as they come! She got her first IUT at 21 weeks with an opening HCT of 5. Haley proceeded to have 10 more IUTs after the first. Her little girl was born at 34 weeks and is now a thriving, healthy 3-year-old baby girl! Haley and Connor give lots of credit to having another baby to Allo Hope as they were the ones who gave the courage to ask and advocate for the treatment needed! Haley resides in New Hampshire with her husband, son Finnigan, and daughter Quinn. They love the outdoors, racing, running, and horseback riding with her fiery little girl!
