Rose Murage serves as the AHF Ambassador to Kenya and is an alloimmunized mother who experienced the two preventable deaths of her first two children, Max and Alexis, due to HDFN in Kenya. After relocating to the USA with support from AHF and through Humanitarian Parole, she gave birth to her first living child, Lucas, in April 2023. After Lucas was medically cleared, she returned home and now works to provide education, support and advocacy for alloimmunized mothers in Kenya. Rose holds a Diploma in Information and Communication Technology and with her experience helps facilitate and coordinate care for alloimmunized pregnancies. Rose facilitates access to Rh Immunoglobulin for prevention, communication between patients and trusted providers in Kenya, and helps in the complicated coordination of donor blood for IUTs and post birth transfusions. Rose is helping to finally bring HDFN care and hope to women and babies in Africa.
