2026 World Alloimmunization and HDFN Awareness Day

March 12 is World Alloimmunization and HDFN Awareness Day! Four years ago we founded this global awareness day to bring much needed education, visibility, and urgency to our rare and often overlooked condition. What began as a simple call for awareness has grown into a powerful movement of families, clinicians, researchers and advocates around the world working towards a future where preventable HDFN deaths no longer occur.

This year we were especially excited to launch our AHF International Advocate Recognition program where partners around the world participated in awareness, education, research or advocacy efforts on March 12. We are honored to recognize the following countries: Camerron, Ethiopia, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Nigeria, Tanzania, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Brazil, Canada, Columbia, Mexico, USA, Belgium, Croatia, England, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand. Congratulations and a huge thank you to the patients, providers, partners and advocates who represented these countries!
